The Billy DeFrank LGBTQ+ Community Center on The Alameda is the main hub for LGBTQ+ groups in San Jose, with weekly discussion groups, Rainbow Bingo, karaoke and a 50+ program. The Queer Readers' Cafe meets at Biblioteca Latinoamericana library, and San José FrontRunners, Walkers and Wheelers runs and walks every Saturday. All are free and welcome people who come alone.

The Billy DeFrank LGBTQ+ Community Center is San Jose's LGBTQ+ community center, on The Alameda. It hosts discussion and support groups, socials, and an older-adult program, and posts its events on Meetup. San Jose Public Library also runs LGBTQ+ reading programs.

Are there LGBTQ+ sports or running groups in San Jose?
Yes. San José FrontRunners, Walkers and Wheelers is an LGBTQ+ and friends group that meets every Saturday at 9 AM in the Panera Bread parking lot at 503 Coleman Avenue, then runs, walks or rides through Guadalupe River Park and comes back for optional coffee and brunch.
