San Jose's board game groups meet every week at Guildhouse in Downtown's SoFA District, at public library branches, and at bars in Downtown Campbell. Where can I play board games with new people in San Jose?
Open board game nights are the easiest way in. You show up, someone waves you over to a table, and they teach you the game. Downtown's SoFA District (Guildhouse) and the public libraries host the most regular nights.

No. Open game nights in San Jose expect newcomers. Hosts or regulars teach the rules at the table, and most groups keep lighter games out for people who are new.
