SanJoseClubs.com is an independent, free directory of clubs and groups in greater San Jose, run by Greg de Vries. We list a group only after we see an upcoming meeting or recent dated activity on its own page, at a public venue. Groups never pay to be listed, and listings are re-checked weekly.
Who runs SanJoseClubs.com?
About the editor. SanJoseClubs is run by Greg de Vries, a longtime South Bay local. Greg owns Living Well Event Center in Los Gatos, is Managing Director at BTB Capital, and has taught meditation and mindfulness for 25 years. He started SanJoseClubs to make it easier for people to find a group and actually show up. Every listing is checked against the group's own page, and groups never pay to be listed. Reach him at [email protected].
How does SanJoseClubs.com verify a club or group?
A verified listing is a club or group where we saw an upcoming event, or dated activity within about the last 90 days, on the group's own public page. That means its Meetup or Strava page, its groups.io list, a library calendar, or the club's website. Member counts alone don't count.
- Find the group's own page. We don't list a group from a directory or a review site alone.
- Look for a date. An upcoming meeting, or a dated post, event or message in roughly the last 90 days.
- Check the venue. We list public venues only: parks, libraries, cafes, bars, stores, rinks and community centers. Groups that meet in private homes aren't listed.
- Record what a newcomer needs. Whether it's accepting new members, beginner-friendly and OK to attend alone, plus cost, schedule and how to join.
- Re-check every week. Every listing shows the date it was last confirmed active.

How do I add or update a group?
Email [email protected] with the group's name, its public page (Meetup, Instagram, Facebook, Strava, groups.io or website), where it meets, and when it meets next. We add groups once we can see a dated upcoming meeting at a public venue. Organizers can also email to correct a listing or ask us to remove one.
How often is SanJoseClubs.com updated?
Listings are re-checked every week, and every page gets a full review each quarter. The next full review is January 2027.
